 About NBF

The National Black Fellowship of the Assemblies of God, since it's founding in 1998, has been an integral part of the General Council of the Assemblies of God to help exchange information essential to minister among Black churches, facilitate evangelism strategies for reaching Black communities, establishing churches within America's inner cities helping to establish leadership, training and development for perspective pastors.

The National Black Fellowship exists for the purpose of exchanging information, facilitating evangelism and the establishing of churches within its group. No Region is an entity in and of itself.

The National Black Fellowship consists of five (5) regions within the United States of America, at this time. The regions are:Central, Eastern, Southern, Southwest, and Western. Each region has the following elected officers: Regional Director, Assistant Regional Director, Secretary-Treasurer, and no more than two (2) Regional Representatives from each Assemblies of God District in that region.

The National Black Fellowship membership is open to all Black Ministers credentialed through the Assemblies of God districts. Congregational membership is extended to all congregations that are 50% Black and pastored by a Black Pastor. These criteria are necessary in order to qualify as an ethnic fellowship.

"As we adopt our slogan for the 21st century, we have to put our faith into action. "United we stand, divided we fall." We have to stand united in the up-building of God's Kingdom. We have to partner with each other to impact God's Kingdom, "Building Lives for Eternity Today". Our goals are to raise up potential pastors, plant new churches, reach out to other churches, must be a team effort to accomplish the vision that God has placed before us. We have to covenant with God and one another in order to reach the lost with the Gospel." - Rev. Zollie Smith, Jr. - NBfA/G President
