At the NBF, we believe in unleashing and activating leaders to work together to answer pain points in urban cities across the US. Each of our initiatives reflect efforts to tackle systemic injustices, issues of life, and crisis in families, amongst other issues. Explore our initiatives below and discover how we are making a difference and how you can serve with us and join us on this journey.
Advance The National Black Fellowship
We are a movement of hope transforming communities by developing and deploying African American leaders, planting and revitalizing churches, advancing biblical justice, and restoring families.
Through mentorship programs, resources, and discipleship groups, we are committed to raising up future leaders with more than just education – but with relational investment, spiritual formation, and hands-on experience.
The Global Orphan Project exists to break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce and the love of Jesus. Setting traditional institutional orphan care models aside, we’re connecting a global family united by a shared vision to care for children and vulnerable families along the entire spectrum: Orphan Prevention, Orphan Care and Transition. Focusing on one child at a time, we provide sustainable, local, family-style care that is deeply rooted in compassion, hope and the belief that every child deserves a chance.
Global Orphan Project
The Douglass Leadership Institute's Jeremiah 1:5 Project is centered around three life-affirming keys derived from the biblical verse Jeremiah 1:5. These include recognizing God's purview over individuals from the womb, acknowledging personhood at the pre-born stage, and the belief that God assigns a unique purpose to every individual from the womb. The project's goals focus on raising awareness about abortion's impact on the black community, aiming to reduce the favorability and incidence of abortion, and decrease the number of abortion providers in this community.
Focus on Life
The Preaching Institute for City Transformation
Ministry is not one-size-fits-all. And all communities need to be taught the Word of God.
The Institute leverages the voices of the city center, minority congregations, and pastors to develop a distinctive city-centered approach to preaching, interpretation of scripture, and application of scripture to defend the faith and promote Christian witness to the transformation of communities.
